Boys Will Be Boys With Their Tools And Toys

Our time in New Orleans is coming to a close and it looks like the boys might be getting a little antsy with pent up energy from not biking 75 miles a day.

At yesterday's build site, high humidity and even more stifling temperatures made the home feel like a sauna.  Ten minutes into sanding down a bathroom, Morgan and I were drenched.

Meanwhile, in the main room, a group of guys had developed a game to keep the sanding fun and help complete the job in record time.  While the work was fast, things got a little crazy with cheering and testosterone.

After the build day, one of our site supervisors working with St. Bernard Project as an Americorp affiliate dragged a huge tire and two sledge hammers out of his pickup.  Soon enough that too became a tool to expend excess energy.

Tomorrow we are headed to Baton Rouge in a 116 mile ride so needless to say, I think the guys will have lots of time to leave their energy on the pavement.

Stay tuned for all of us sleeping like rocks tomorrow night.
