Po-Po Problems

Today I'm a sweep!   What does that mean you ask?  It means that another rider and I stay several miles behind the back of the pack with a med kit and some extra bike maintenance supplies.  If any of our fellow teammates run into trouble, Laura and I will show up to save the day.

Being sweep means that we get to take our time, stop lots of places and see lots of sites.  Additionally, our arrival to the lunch site and tonight's host site signals to our route leaders that all riders have arrived (you know, since we are the kaboose).

Finally, sweep gets to come up with a challenge for the group.  Yesterday's challenge from our sweeps, Greg and Morgan, was to take the best picture with a person in uniform.  What do you think of one of my teammate's creativity?

And here is the winning photo!

To the winning crew, our route leaders had an extra special prize: some hugging love :)

Today, Laura and I are challenging the group to find the coolest artifact/trinket/souvenir on the road.  Let's see what SUS14 comes up with!

  1. I think being bent over the cop car is the best. It's nice to see some all American fun
